The Pacific Alliance for Sustainable Tuna has decided to continue on its path of commitment to sustainability and will soon announce its entry into the MSC ITM Program (In Transition to MSC). This will allow us to continue with the pending goals of our ambitious Action Plan. As part of ITM, we will be subject to credible annual surveillance audits by MSC expert team members, controlled through an Assurance Services International-accredited CAB (Conformity Assessment Body). Surveillances under ITM are part of the same assurance system used by certified fisheries.
